Storage & Handling

Storage Condition
  1. Polyquart® Pro A should be stored indoors in a dry place in its original sealed packaging. Storage rooms must have a maximum temperature of + 40°C. It is advisable to tightly seal any opened container if they have only been partly emptied. Drums must be resealed after each time they are opened.
  2. Polyquart® Pro A is frost sensitive! The storage temperature must be between min. + 5°C. and max. + 40°C. Storage temperatures below + 5°C destroy the product properties. This is an irreversible process.
  3. Drums that contain solidified product or liquid that have begun to precipitate or separate should be reconstituted by gentle heating, preferably in a heating cabinet. The temperature must not be allowed to exceed max. + 40°C. It must be mixed sufficiently prior to use. This also applies if drums are heated by external electrical elements. Internal electrical elements should not be used because of the localized anomalies in temperature that they can cause.
  4. To avoid discoloration, Polyquart® Pro A must be blanketed with nitrogen if it is stored in heated tanks (max. + 40°C) to prevent it from coming into contact with air. Constant, gentle stirring helps to prevent it being discolored as a result of prolonged contact with electrical elements or external heating coils. Polyguart® Pro A must be protected from sunlight and high temperatures to avoid discolora- tion and the formation of surface films.
  5. Please refer to the latest Safety Data Sheet for detailed information on product safety.

Shelf Life:
Provided it is stored properly and drums are kept tightly sealed, Polyquart® Pro A has a shelf life of 18 months in its original packaging.
