Product Highlights

Plurafac SL 62 is a non-ionic surfactant that is essentially 100% active. It does not form water/surfactant gels. Plurafac SL 62 is a liquid at room temperature. It is an excellent wetting, penetrating and emulsifying agent and is compatible with non-ionic, anionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants. Plurafac SL 62 shows unique performance advantages in a wide variety of formulations including laundry detergents, tub and tile cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, car wash soaps, metal cleaners, floor cleaners, disinfectants and sanitizers. This product meets the OECD criteria for biodegradability. It passes the OECD test protocol #301B for ultimate biodegradation.

Storage & Handling

Storage Condition
  • Plurafac® SL 62 is easily handled under ordinary commercial conditions. It will remain clear if stored at 21°C (70°F) or above. When stored below this temperature, turbidity may develop but will disappear upon warming to 24°C (75°F). The presence of turbidity does not affect the surfactant efficiency. Maximum storage temperature is 49°C (120°F). Heating equipment will be required if temperatures are expected to fall below 10°C (50°F) Where color requirements are critical, resin-lined steel, glass-lined steel, or stainless steel are recommended for storage tanks.
  • BASF will endorse the results on the certificate of analysis for a period of up to two years from the date of manufacture for material in original, unopened, properly stored containers. Beyond one year, we recommend the quality of the material be confirmed prior to use, by retesting the certificate of analysis parameters.
