Dispex® Ultra PA 4560 is a high-molecular-weight dispersing agent that stabilizes the pigment dispersion of inorganic and organic pigments, enhancing properties such as gloss, color strength, flocculation stability, and anti-flooding behavior. When combined with Dispex® Ultra PA 4503, it is suitable for formulating VOC-free tinting concentrates for both water- and solvent-based decorative paints, exhibiting excellent compatibility that allows incorporation with low shear forces.

Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment:

Inorganic pigments

10 % of oil absorption value

Oganic pigments

25 - 50 % of BET value

Carbon blacks

20 % of DBP absorption value

Dispex® Ultra PA 4560 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.

Applications

Dispex® Ultra PA 4560 is, in combination with Dispex® Ultra PA 4503, suitable to formulate VOC-free tinting concentrates for both water- and solvent-based decorative paints. These concentrates have excellent compatibility and can therefore be incorporated by the use of low shear forces (shaking machines).
