Dispex® Ultra PA 4550 is a high-molecular-weight dispersing agent that stabilizes the pigment dispersion of inorganic and organic pigments. It improves gloss, color strength, flocculation stability, and anti-flooding behavior. In clear, slightly yellowish liquid form, Dispex® Ultra PA 4550 enhances various properties of pigment dispersions.

Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment:

Inorganic pigments 10 % of oil absorption value
Organic pigments 25 - 50 % of BET value
Carbon blacks 20 % of DBP absorption value

Dispex® Ultra PA 4550 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.

Applications

Dispex® Ultra PA 4550 can be used exclusively as a dispersing agent to formulate resin-free pigment concentrates for VOC-free applications.
