The defoamer is effective in emulsion and suspension polymerization during the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, and acrylic emulsions.

FoamStar® SI 2299 is a highly effective deaerator and defoamer suitable for spray coating, brush, and roller applications. It excels in airless/air mix spraying, preventing microfoam efficiently. The product exhibits remarkable and persistent defoaming properties over time. Particularly well-suited for airless/air mix spraying, it also performs admirably in brush applications and, to some extent, in roller applications, effectively knocking down the foam and eliminating microfoam. FoamStar® ST 2400 is part of a novel series of defoamers based on patented FoamStar® technology. It offers a very fast bubble break compared to conventional defoamers, proving effective in industrial coatings based on acrylic emulsions, with good persistence. The chemical nature involves a defoamer based on patented FoamStar® technology and mineral oil.

FoamStar® ST 2438 is a 100% active defoamer compound combining a hyper-branched FoamStar polymer with high-end organo-silicones. It delivers fast foam knockdown with high efficiency. This defoamer does not reduce the gloss of high gloss paints and coatings, making it effective in difficult-to-defoam high gloss formulations. It ensures fast bubble-break versus conventional defoamers, effectiveness against microfoam, no separation or settling, very good persistence, and suitability for deep and clear/neutral bases.
